Sausage rolls with sweet mustard dipping sauce

Last Super Bowl, we just hung out at home and I decided to make us an array of fun little bites. I saw a similar idea to this on instagram and decided I need to make something like it. They are the perfect game day app, or for any event you host. Spicy, sweet, and crunchy. These are a must try!

This made about 14

Ingredients:

  • 1 crescent sheet

  • Hot sausage links: 3

  • You can use Cooper sharp cheese, American or Cheddar. It’s your preference but those work best: 5 slices

  • Garlic powder

  • Onion powder

  • Parsley

  • Oregano

  • Salt and pepper

Instructions:

- Take your knife and carefully slice down the middle to remove the sausage from the casing. This step is important, you don’t want to leave it in the casing.

- Cut your crescent sheet in half longways / Vertically

- On each of your pieces place cheese, and then sausage links placing closer to one side

- Roll over until a tube forms. You are aiming to have 2 long, thin tubes filled with the sausage and cheese making sure the seam is closed to keep the ingredients inside

- Then slice into 1 inch pieces

- Brush the tops with butter or spray with cooking spray

- Sprinkle with parsley, oregano, garlic powder, salt & pepper

- Place sausage bites onto a lined baking dish

- Bake @400 for 20 minutes

Sweet Mustard:

  • Mayo: 2 tbsp

  • Yellow mustard: 1 tbsp

  • Brown sugar: 2 tbsp

  • Honey: 2 tbsp

  • Dijon: 2 tbsp

  • Parsley: 1 tsp

  • Onion powder: 1 tsp

  • Garlic powder: 1 tsp

    • Add all ingredients into a container with airtight lid. Mix well and refrigerate until ready to use.
